Humility and Success

“Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success.”-Henry Ford

One of my lovely readers asked the following thought-provoking question:

“How do you handle success without boosting?”

Short answer:

By showing gratitude for everyone that assisted with my success as no one gets successful alone.

Long answer:

It also helps to remind myself that we all have the same amount of time in a day.  We all have priorities, deadlines and the need to learn   along with the ability to live our lives one day at a time.  Having this mindset helps me rationalize what I value most during my 24 hours.  I value the happiness and peace I get by doing what I genuinely want to do–helping others–in a clear perspective.  So, when someone asks me, “How did you succeed?” I tell them with the help of family, friends, our community, God, and by being happy, peaceful, patient and dedicated.

To me, speaking the truth leads to humility and, in turn, leads to success.

Thank you for your question and for reading.

Happy Monday,

Brooke
